Sol Light Studio brings exceptional lighting to architectural, interior, landscape, and master-planning projects from concept stage to fully operational status, through reliable, dependable, and collaborative relationships with architects, interior designers, landscape architects, developers, artists, and urban designers.
Absorb
We listen intently to absorb and understand the ‘why’ of the project. We dive deep into understanding the user experience and, the social, emotional, and environmental impacts the project intends to create.
Reflect
We reflect upon how light can be designed to achieve the project goals, enhance user well-being, and craft the intended experience, all within the limitations of existing conditions, project timelines, energy constraints, and budgets.
Create
We create designs that may be complex extravagant ideas or simple mindful solutions. Although we can adapt our involvement based on project needs, we always make sure to deliver something that is complete, regardless of the extent of our involvement. We deliver our ideas with clarity and passion.
Collaborate
We work closely with design teams to bring creative solutions to simple or complex challenges that may come up through the course of a project. We work through construction, installation, and commissioning taking our designs to the reality of the finish line.
Founder
Neha Sivaprasad
MIES, IALD, LEED AP, LC,
Sol Light Studio is founded by Neha Sivaprasad. Neha has 24 years of experience in the architecture and construction, 19 years of which have been in architectural lighting design. Throughout her almost 2 decades of designing with light, Neha has designed a large range of project types including museums, retail, offices, residential, hospitality, low-income housing, large-scale landscape projects, and master planning. As a trained architect, artist and dancer, Neha is adept at delicately balancing the art and science behind architectural lighting design, creating viable yet beautiful solutions.
Neha holds a diploma in Interior design, a Bachelor’s Degree (with Honors) in Architecture (Sir JJ College of Architecture, Mumbai, India), and a Master of Building Science Degree (University of Southern California). In addition to winning several project awards, Neha was also awarded the 40 under 40 lighting designers award by Lighting Magazine in 2018.
